Can You Eat Olive Garden Salad While Pregnant

have you called and asked olive garden? thats what i would do.. and man does that sound good lol i havent ate there in forever lol

Don't remember that post, but I do know that I've eaten helping upon helping of their salad this pregnancy and my babe is fine.

I LOOOOOOVE Olive Garden salad! YUM! I'm pretty sure it's just Italian dressing, BTW.

Yes, the op said that when they talked to a manager that almost all their dressings contained raw egg....so i would take your own if you go. My DF has a vinegar allergy so when we go to olive garden we take a bottle of homemade italian (made with lemon juice) and tell them to hold the dressing on the salad.

I just ate it the other day. Dont know about the raw egg in it, but I guess I live on the wild side?? Haha I also eat cookie batter. Mmmmm.

So long as the dressing isn't made in-house, it's fine. I highly doubt that the Olive Garden makes its salad dressing fresh, but I suppose it could vary by location. If you're concerned about it, just ask the server.

This is my 3rd baby and with all 3 I have eaten olive garden salad several times a week with extra dressing. I have never had a problem and my babies have been a healthy 8 pounds! Okay, now I want a salad;)

OMG, I want unlimited soup, salad and breadsticks NOW! Like another PP, I've eaten there at least two times since being noticeably preggo... I would sure hope they would warn me if there were actually raw eggs in there! But I bet there isn't because it's just Italian dressing. Maybe they also serve a Caesar salad there? Caesar dressing traditionally contains raw eggs.

It does have egg in the indgredient list (I have a bottle of it at home). I am sure the dressing is somehow pasturized or the egg part is. I have eaten it plenty of times and all is okay with me and baby. BTW- most dressings and mayo contain egg.

Damn I wanted that tomorrow. The Italian dressing has raw eggs in it?? I have had that salad twice this pregnancy!!! LOVE their salad/food. I go there mainly for the salad & bread sticks.

I can't IMAGINE that a national chain is using raw eggs, unless they're pasteurized. (You CAN buy pasteurized raw eggs, which are completely safe). They would be way too concerned about liability. A nice local restaurant might, but I'd be shocked to learn that Olive Garden did. And if they did, there would almost certainly be a warning on the menu (possibly they would even be legally required to have a warning, not sure).
